13 The Musical Fansite

A new musical about the one thing we never stop doing – growing up.

Heyy. i saw this on broadwayspace and wanted to start it on 13fans.

Its really simple all you do is someone posts a couple of lines from a Broadway song and then the next person guesses the song title and what its from. Then they post another line from a song. Please try not to post 13, since were on its website.

Ok ill start with an easy one:

"A D D D D F sharp A,
Will be the first notes of our show."

Going Down from Hair

"I let him go,
I didn't know
He'd stolen my beans!
I was watching him crawl,
Back over the wall!
Then bang! Crash!
And the lightning flash!
And well, that's another story,
Never mind-
Anyway, at last
The big day came,
And I made my claim."

The Witch's Rap from the Prologue of Into the Woods

"And I play at home
With my wife and kids
And I wait to hear the movie bids,
And I've got a little sailboat.
And I'm into meditation.
Right?"

Merrily We Roll Along (1974-1973)/Franklin Shepard, Inc. from Merrily We Roll Along

The papers...he mentioned papers,
Some legal papers which I didn't see there.
Where were they, the goddamn papers she had to sign?
What nonsense!
He brought her papers,

Really just "Franklin Shephard, Inc." 'cause "Merrily We Roll Along (1974-1973)/Franklin Shepard, Inc." is just how they list it if you find the lyrics online because those two songs are on the same track on the OBCR, but yeah it is "Franklin Sherphard, Inc."!

really? in my itunes it's Merrily We Roll Along (1974-1973)/Franklin Shepard, Inc. but idkk, i might've like edited the song titles or something.

Exactly! That's how it is in your iTunes because that's what they titled the track on the OBCR. That's what I meant. I was just saying, well really only the latter but whatever you're right just being ridiculously specific! Sorry :)

In Praise of Women from A Little Night of Music

The Biltmore garage wants a grand
But we ain't got a grand on hand.
And they now got a lock on the door
To the gym at P.S. 84.
There's the stock room behind the McCloskey's bar.
But Mrs. McCloskey ain't a good scout.
And things being how they are
The back of the police station is out!
So the Biltmore garage is the spot.
But the one thousand bucks we ain't got.

Isn't that the song from Guys and Dolls with "good old reliable nathan, nathan, nathan, nathan detroit!" called "oldest established", right?

This next one is near impossible, but I'm gonna try it and I'll probably replace it after but it's worth a shot!

"Culi thanking Buddha,
no more light, no more day
at night.
Culi thanking Buddha,
no more 'have to find way'
at night.
Culi thankful, master relent
giving Culi corner intent.
Culi, no more fear he will know.
Not while Buddha smiles, and master sleeping nearby
at night.
Culi tired brain not able think very deep
at night.
Culi tired body only think about sleep
at night.
Cannot pray with usual skill,
Buddha, please forgive if He will,
Culi not at usual rest.
Culi sleep now,
wishing Buddha have a good rest
at night."

Wow. Good one! I don't think I have ever heard that one before.

hmm... never heard that one, so here's a random guess even though it takes place in the wrong country: Evita? something from evita? well whatever. That's a good one though.
