13 The Musical Fansite

A new musical about the one thing we never stop doing – growing up.

Okay, who saw Next To Normal and what did you think?

I just saw it and personally rate it as in the top five shows to ever hit Broadway.

I saw the matinee on April 4 and I LOVED it. Like, it's my all-time favorite musical. The cast is brilliant, the score is incredible... it's just an all-around amazing show. So psyched for the 11 nominations for the Tony's! But Aaron Tveit got snubbed for Best Featured Actor. I mean, he's unbelievable in the show. (what is up with the random kid from Billy Elliot getting nominated? haha, sorry, that was random, but I'm pretty upset about it)
But, yeah, it is an amazing musical. To quote [title of show], Alice Ripley is fierce (hey, that's the first time I ever said the word fierce! That's the second! lol)

lol i can semi agree with the billy elliot line, however i did see david bologna in his role close to opening night and he was outstanding so he does deserve some credit.

i saw it on april 25th and i'm still in shock. it was so unbelievably incredible and beautiful. i've been following the show for a long time (since it was still called feeling electric, to be specific) and i was still blown away by the broadway production. i can't wait to see it about 2884783 more times.

I have the soundtrack and I looove it. It's basically all I've listened to for 2 weeks. Haha. I think I might go to NYC this summer & see it. But I'm really sad that Aaron Tveit won't be in it when I see it. He's taking a leave of absence from June till September. He's amaaaazing and I'd really like to see him live. (And I was shocked that he didn't get a nom for best featured actor!)

But yeah... from what I can tell from listening to the music, this show is amazing! I want to see it so badly!

I LOVE NEXT TO NORMAL!
I listened to the soundtrack literally on repeat for months, and I flew out to NY just to see it. It was outstanding! We had obstructed view seats, which was bad because we couldn't see things all the way to the right side, but we were so close we could see them sweating(: The cast members are so talented and the score is amazing! I wish it would've won more Tony's - it deserved them!

oh my god, scott, you just wrote that you were the understudy for gabe starting in November and that the show was closing on December 6th. I saw it earlier and then Peter commented, you deleted the comment and are now accusing him for yelling at Hannah! no. This is why Peter is saying that you are "the biggest liar ever".

Hannah, Peter was not talking to you. Trust me.
